The far side of the moon, invisible to us on earth, is something we can only speculate and wonder about. My book far side is a visual representation of the unknown and speculative aspects of life. 

Though I have been doing photography for years, I have never really experimented or thought about taking photos with more than surface level meaning behind them. This experience is one that took me a while to get the hang of and actually take photos that I was proud of and willing to use in my book. 

To make this collection, I started with some photos of the moon. After some discussion, it was clear these were not complex enough for my work. Because of this, I started photographing things that in some form were able to represent the moon, uncertainties and assumptions. Each photo represents, in some form or another, one or more of these things.
